Piaget is a Swiss luxury watchmaker and jeweler, founded by Georges Piaget in the village of La Côte-aux-Fées in 1874, and is part of the Swiss Richemont Group, a specialist in the luxury goods industry.

The company was founded as a manufacturer of clock movements, but began to market its own watch line in the 20th century.

In 2008, Piaget ranked as the 6th most prestigious jewelery brand.

In 1874 Georges Edouard Piaget founded his first workshop at the family farm, located in the small village of La Côte-aux-Fées in the Swiss Jura.

In 1911 Timothée Piaget, the son of Georges Piaget, took over the family business. The policy of the company has always been dedicated to the manufacture of luxury wrist watches.
