The Waltham Watch Company, also known as the American Waltham Watch Co. and the American Watch Co., produced around 40 million watches, watches, speedometers, compasses, time fighters and other precision instruments between 1850 and 1957. The historic 19th-century manufacturing facilities in Waltham, Massachusetts were preserved as the American Waltham Watch Company’s Historic District.
In 1850, in Roxbury, Massachusetts, David Davis, Edward Howard, and Aaron Lufkin Dennison formed the company, which would later become the Waltham Watch Company. Their revolutionary business plan was to make the movement parts of the watches so precise that they would be completely interchangeable.
Based on the experience of previous misses, Howard and Dennison have finally perfected their precision watches to make them perfected and patented.
